Precision Component Machining & Sub-assembly

We are a AS 9100 Rev D & ISO 9001:2015 certified company having good setup of Precision Manufacturing Facilities for aerospace and defense sectors. We have modern infrastructures and machine set up facilities like CNC Turning, Turn Mill and VMC 3 axis to 5 axis.

We have well equipped inspection equipment’s like CMM, Height Master, Profile Projector and General Instruments along with both destructive and non-destructive test facilities.

Heavy Engineering

Our facility for Heavy Engineering consists of Plasma Cutting, Laser Cutting, Water Jet Cutting, CNC Plano Milling Machine, Floor Boring Machine, Three Roll Mill, TIG, MIG and Robotic Welding. Our current defence projects are EDRC/RRC and transporters for IAF and DRDO. Our Heavy Engineering section comprises of good material handling facilities, qualified welders and engineering facilities.

Aerostructure

The Aerostructure business of Gopalan Aerospace produces sheet metal parts and assemblies for leading Global Aerospace and Defence Sectors.

The facility is equipped with comprehensive capabilities to produce a variety of sheet metal components and assemblies. Current production emphasis is on soft alloys - aluminum and hard metals- titanium, Inconel, and steel.

The operating team at Gopalan Aerospace brings decades of industry experience honed through on-the-job training at our facility. Today, these trained professionals form nucleus of operations at Gopalan Aerospace.

Composite Division

Gopalan Aerospace’s Composite Division is a Centre of Excellence for composites structures for Aerospace and Defence.

The division has excellent infrastructure, experienced and well-trained manpower in the area of Engineering Design, Tool Design, Tool and Engineering Manufacturing, Assembly and Testing with the capability to deliver “concept to certification” composite solution.

The division equipped with modern infrastructures and facilities like Autoclave of size 3 m Día x 7 m length with temperature 200°C and pressure 7 bar, Control Contamination Area of 250 sq. m of ISO Class 7 - 10,000 class, CNC Ply Cutting Machine, Cold Stores Capacity of 70 sq.m with Ante Room, Hot Air Ovens with max. temperature of 500°C, Waterjet Cutting Machine, Environmental Monitoring Area (EMA) of 364 sq.m for wet layup and vacuum enhanced resin infusion, Ultrasonic A Scan, Universal Testing Machine – 100 KN, Coordinate Measuring Machine, CAD facility for design and manufacturing.

Drones

Gopalan Aerospace provides products and services to both the strategic and civilian sectors of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in areas such as Agriculture, Geospatial Survey, Logistics, Medical and Image Processing.

The GM (Gopalan Multirotors) series Drones from Gopalan Aerospace are advanced UAS, developed through the collaboration between Gopalan Aerospace and the renowned CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, utilizing the industry’s sophisticated high-end production and integration technology and indigenous design solutions.

CNC Plano Milling Machine

Plano Miller is a metalworking machine tool, which machines a linear tool path by using linear relative motion between the work piece and a single-point cutting tool. CNC milling is used to apply a machined surface finish on plastic or metal or for creating complex 3D shapes.
